- Finding Octavia and agreeing to help her
- Place the Chalice
- Defeat both waves of enemies
- Defeat Xul’goth
- Collect your reward
Finding Octavia and Agreeing To Help Her
You can easily find Octavia on the city’s side streets called “Kyovshad.” Speak with Octavia, and agree to help her. You have to follow Petr and her into the house. Petr’s son, Vata, is the one that’s possessed. As the player, you need to protect sister Octavia while she tries to get the demon out of the child.
Placing the Chalice and Defeating the Waves of Enemies
There will be two waves of enemies released when the exorcism is started. You should touch the Holy Chalice on the ground to place it and begin the exorcism on Petr’s son.
The first wave will be a group of small minions that attack the player. Then a demon named Xul’goth appears, which is essentially a mini-boss. This demon is much harder to beat than the group of minions in the first wave. After defeating Xul’goth, the exorcism is completed, and Vata returns to normal.
Collecting Your Reward
The game will then cut to you outside with sister Octavia, who has a reward for you. She will also mention that she might need your help again.

How To Use the Holy Chalice in the Cellar in Malady of the Soul Quest
Here’s how you use the Chalice in the Frigid Cellar: hover Chalice with your cursor in the highlighted area near the boy’s bed.
Upon entering the Cellar, Sister Octavia will direct you to take the Chalice and place it near the boy before beginning the exorcism. Locate the highlighted spot next to Vata’s bed and accurately position the Chalice within that area by carefully hovering your cursor over it.
