You can complete Blacksmith Blues in Final Fantasy 16 by handing the leather to Backthrone. These are the steps to follow to complete the Blacksmith’s Blues quest.
- Go to Hideaway, Boarding Deck. Speak with August.
He will ask your help to see what’s bothering Blackthrone. - Find Blackthrone at Black Hammer and talk with him.
He will tell you about a fine piece of leather. - Go to Charon and speak with her.
This will lead you to track down the leatherworker. - Speak to Nektar.
Go to the Mess and talk to Nektar.
Select the ‘Ask about Griffin sightings’ command. - Use the Hund Board to locate the griffin.
Now you can see the listings and that Dozmare the Griffin has been added to the list. - Locate Dozmare and kill it.
You can find it in the Lostwing, Caer Norvent West Gate, Sunbreque. 1x Scarletite
1x Meteorite, 650 EXP, 55 Ability Points, 8,500 Gil, and 20 Renown are the Dozmare Spoils you can use. - Talk to the injured man.
After you slay the griffin, a wounded man will appear out of the woods. He will hand you some treated leather asking you to deliver it to Blackthrone. - Accept it and travel back to Blackthrone.
Meet Backthrone and hand over the leather to him.
