Do you want to know what Shadow Raids are in Pokémon Go? For the first time in Pokémon Go history, a Shadow Pokémon Raid will happen! This new event is called ‘Rising Shadows’ and will begin on 22nd May 2023 as a part of Season 10: Rising Heroes. Also, that will be the grand entry of Shiny Shadow Mewtow to the Pokémon play. This article will explain what Pokémon Go: Shadow Raids are from the inside out. So without further ado, let’s get started!
Pokémon Go: Shadow Raids
Shadow Raids are coming to the stage as a part of the Pokémon Go: Rising Shadow event from 22nd May to 28th May 2023. These raids are hosted by Team Go Rocket and will take over Gym with all sorts of shadow Pokémon. Players can join together to beat these Shadow Raid Bosses. Remember, you can’t use Remote Raid Passes for this event. Which means you have to finish it in person.
Team Go Rocket will appear more at Pokestops and balloons, placing strong shadow Pokémon as Raid Bosses. Be ready to fight special three and five-star Raid Bosses with enhanced powers. But, have to warn you, this isn’t going to be easy… and keep in mind, you’ll not get rewards as a team bonus if you use Premier Balls.
You will find Shadow Shards, Shadow Shard Refiner, and Purified Gems. Shadow Shards are mysterious gem pieces given by Team Go Rocket. Gather enough Shadow Shards so that Professor Willow can invent Shadow Shard Refiner. That machine can offer you Purified Gems. And those gems will be an added advantage in Shadow Raid battles because they can purify Shadow Raid Bosses, lower their attacks and temporarily defend in a Shadow battle. Plus, you can use multiple Purifying Gems at once against your enemies by joining with other team members. And that can create severe damage to the Shadow Pokémon.
