What is Republic Chest in Fortnite?
Republic Chests came to light after the new Fortnite update for Chapter 4, Season 2. There are nine chests spread out across the map. Finding Republic Chests are easy. But to open them first and collect the loot within will be a challenge for most players. To do this, they must earn Galactic Reputation by completing the Find the Force tasks. As their standing grows, they will be allowed to have more items unavailable earlier.
Republic Chests are big black boxes with a white Galactic Republic sign. Unfortunately, you’ll only locate them in three locations on the island where the battle royale occurs. That makes things pretty hard.

The island has nine Republic Chests in total. Four are near major points of interest (POIs), and the other five are close or in minor landmarks. Below are the locations you can find the Republic Chests.
- North of Shattered Slabs, the roads from Seaside Sentry and Pleasant Passage meet. Known as one of the sweatiest places on the map. Watch out for your health.
- South of Meadow Mansion, southwest of Frenzy Fields, is where roads from Shore Shack and Mega City meet. The Beep ‘N Bounce Landmarks make finding this off-track location easy. After securing the chest, players in Meadow Mansion may talk with a nearby Hologram to get a Force Power and Lightsaber.
- West of Slappy Shores, on the south side of the river that flows into the ocean.
Open the Map menu and click the Quests tab before starting a match to make this mission easier. Then, go to the “Find the Force” area and look for the “Search a Republic Chest” quest. This will show you nearby chests.
You will find one of the brand-new DC-15 Blaster guns in every Republic Chest and any random support or healing items, such as Medkits, Small Shield Potions, and Chug Splashes. All these new additions will help you to win battles with flying colors.
