What Is Call of Duty Age Rating?
The Call of Duty age rating is PEGI 18. PEGI refers to the Pan-European Game Information, a video game rating system. This will help you decide the age appropriateness of the game you plan to buy. This system was developed by the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE) in April 2003.
The PEGI system is now used in 41 countries. It is built on a code of conduct that every publisher who uses the PEGI system agrees to follow. PEGI self-regulation comprises five age groups and nine content descriptors that tell you if a game is appropriate for a specific age range based on what it is about. The age rating is not meant to show how hard the game is or how much skill is needed to play it.
According to Wikipedia, PEGI 18 means, “The 18 rating, which indicates content suitable only for adults, is applied when the level of violence reaches a stage where it becomes a depiction of gross violence, apparently motiveless killing, or violence towards defenseless characters. The glamorization of the use of illegal drugs, explicit sexual activity, and gambling should also fall into this age category.”
Of course, there is a setting in Call of Duty to turn off blood splashing, inappropriate language, and violence. Also, no sexual activities or indications can be seen during the game. We highly recommend turning on the above setting if your child is below 15, and we do not recommend this game for below 10-year-olds. However, you are the ultimate decision maker, and we hope this guide helped you to make a better decision.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 are available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
