This a practical shotgun with a precision frame archetype, denoting that the recoil pattern of this weapon is primarily vertical. We usually use this weapon in PvE for Smoothbore and incandescent perks. Smoothbore will allow fire at distant targets. Even though the spread will be reduced, having range in PvE is very helpful. And Incandescent allows the scorch to spread to nearby targets. And the assault magazine and complete choke increase stability and the aiming speed.
In PvP, we usually go for Quickdraw and Vorpal Weapon perks. Quickdraw allows you to draw the weapon unbelievably, while the Vorpal Weapon trait helps to increase the damage against bosses, vehicles, and guards. And these perks, together with  Icarus, allow you to fire at a long distance, expanding the range by 15.
