Efficient Angler is all about fishing. It is the latest activity in Destiny 2: Season of the Deep. It comes as one of the Seasonal Bonuses in Week 1. You have to catch fish while a fish pond is at its total catch bonus, and that will make your bait return to you after catching a fish. And that would be the seasonal bonus you get after completing the task.
You need to monitor the Fishing Tackle to find the fishing pond. When you hover your cursor around the Fishing Tackle sign (you can find Fishing Tackle inside the inventory), it will show you areas with increased activity. You need to select one of those areas to execute this activity. Also, make sure to keep your bait ready so that you can catch a higher-tire fish easily.
And remember to find a pond with at least three other players. Playing jointly with them in the same pond will increase your Fishing Bar and elevate the chances of getting better rewards. Also, it will enhance your opportunities to catch exotic fish. If you can’t find any players around your pond, reload the area and wait until you see other players.
Efficient Angler Bug and How to Fix it in Destiny 2?
Recently there has been a bug reported when completing the challenge. The game was not tracking the fish count and other details properly. This means the game doesn’t register it as complete even if you catch a fish, as required in the challenge description. As a result, focused fishing isn’t increasing the rarity or the rate of fishing. Needless to say, how frustrating this can be. This issue was spread on every platform of the game.

A higher value in the meter means you will get more chances to catch rare fish.
