You’ll unlock the chance to capture it if you want to get Regieleki to triumph over Regieleki in an Elite Raid.
When the event starts, an Elite Raid Egg will appear at an EX Gym. You’ll have 24 hours to determine Regieleki’s location before it hatches. After hatching, you’ll only have 30 minutes to complete the Elite Raid. Regieleki’s Elite Raid is expected to be more complex than a typical 5-Star Raid and can only be met in person.
Because of the time limitation, Niantic has urged trainers to coordinate raids with their local Pokemon GO group.
If you cannot find an EX Gym location on your normal Raid Radar, Niantic suggests using their Campfire app.
Trainers who take part in the Elite Raid for Regieleki will gain access to Exclusive Timed Research. This research is a one-time-only opportunity and can only be completed by those participating in the raid. As a bonus, trainers who finish the research will receive Candy for three other Legendary Pokemon: Regirock, Registeel, and Regice. So, not only will you have the chance to add Regieleki to your collection, but you’ll also be able to power up some of your other favorites.
