Moreover, you can unlock sub-medals by collecting Scatterbug from the other areas to form different Vivillon types.

  • To unlock your first encounter with a Scatterbug, pin three Postcards received in a Gift from the same region.

Who is Scatterbug in Pokémon Go?

Scatterbug is a Gen 6 Bug Non-Legendary Pokémon originally found in the Kalos region. It is weak to fire, Rock, and flying-type moves. Players can turn Scatterbug to its next step, Spewpa, with 25 Candies. Spewpa needs 100 Candies to evolve into Vivillon. The cost to unlock the additional charge move is 25 candies.

This Pokémon evolves into Spewpa starting on level 9, and at level 12, it evolved into Vivillon. Scatterbug looks like a tiny caterpillar with a big head, white hair, and one tooth in its mouth. Mainly these Pokémon eat poisonous plants, which turn into a black powder that scatters throughout their body, causing paralysis and helping them adapt to different climates. Internally Scatterbug and Spewpa have 20 forms each and one for each Vivillon pattern, and Vivillons color is changing region to region.
