Are you wondering how to use Digipick in Starfield? Starfield is set to release on the 6th of September, 2023. Before that, Bethesda Game Studios allowed players worldwide to experience the gameplay of their new game by giving early access to the game. So far, players have been loving the gameplay, even though there are some issues with bugs and other aspects of the game. Without further ado, let’s talk about a new feature in Starfield: Digipicks. This guide will teach you everything about Starfield: How to Use Digipick.
How to Use Digipicks in Starfield
Starfield‘s best weapons and armor are hidden behind locked doors or chests. To open these, you need to master the craft of lockpicking and have at least one Digipick in your inventory. In this minigame, players must match and line up the digital keys with pins on the lock. You can use these digipicks to pick any lock from the game and understand what’s behind that lock.
There are four types of locks present in Starfield,
- Novice
- Advanced
- Expert
- Master
Players need more experience to pick the lock with each increasing level of locks. Here’s how you can use digipicks to open any chests or doors in Starfield,
- Approach a locked door or a chest to start the lockpicking process
- Once you interact with the lock, several keys will appear in the right-hand corner of your screen. Select the key with the most suitable pins for your lock.
- Then, rotate the key to line up with pins in each slot. Keep in mind that some locks will require more than one key.
- If you have gained the right match of pins and slots, press ‘A’ to lock the choices.
- Then, move into the inner locks and follow the same process.
- After all the keys and the pin slots are matched perfectly, the doors or the chests will be unlocked.
With more advanced locks, multiple keys will lock the same to confuse the players. To choose the correct key, players need to have experience.

How to Get More Digipicks in Starfield
You must have at least one digipick in your inventory to pick locks. Digipicks can lie across the galaxy, be looted from dead bodies, or be purchased from the store.
As you travel across the galaxy, there will be multiple containers. In these, there might be digipicks. So look in them; obtaining more digipicks will allow you to open more chests and doors.
