How To Beat Crota In Destiny 2

Do you want to know how to beat Crota in Destiny 2? Defeating Crota, the final battle in Destiny 2 Crota’s End, is the most complex challenge in this raid. Crota, Son of Oryx, is a challenging boss in Destiny 2‘s Crota’s End raid due to his high health and the need for effective DPS strategies. Don’t worry. We will tell you how to beat Crota in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2: How To Beat Crota

To eliminate Crota’s overshield, you must inflict damage with the Hive sword obtained by defeating a Swordbearer. Multiple Hive swords are required to remove Crota‘s overshield. Additionally, it’s essential to remember that only an Enlightened player can pick up a Sword.

To defeat the boss, you need an Enlightened player to damage the Oversoul, a giant portal in the sky. At the same time, the rest of the team deals damage to Crota, Son of Oryx. Ignoring the Oversoul will result in a team wipe, while ignoring Crota will lead to insufficient damage before Enrage. Damage on Crota stops once someone defeats the Oversoul. However, there are only three or four chances to deal damage before the team is wiped automatically. The key is to balance the damage dealt to the Oversoul and Crota.

After many attempts, Saltagreppo was the first team to defeat the boss. They used a mechanic called Expunged on Crota, which requires an Enlightened player. Once Expunged is used, the team can deal more damage. This is the same mechanic used during the bridge encounter.
