Editorial Policy

Here’s how GigaScreens decides what to publish, how we check it, and what we do when we get something wrong.

Who writes here

Articles are written and reviewed by the site’s editor and published under that name or as “GigaScreens Team”. Every byline is a real person or a clearly disclosed team name. We don’t use invented authors or stock-photo experts.

What we cover

Screen tests and fixes for monitors, laptops, phones, iPads and TVs, plus GPU troubleshooting. If a topic needs hardware or expertise we don’t have, we either find a solid source or skip it.

How we check facts

Specs, warranty terms and pixel policies come from the manufacturer’s own pages, linked where we use them. Menu paths and settings come from current manufacturer documentation. Health topics like eye strain or PWM sensitivity stay general and link to medical or standards sources. We’re not doctors.

Fix steps that could damage a screen (pressure methods, opening a device) are flagged as risky or left out. We never tell you to open a TV, monitor or power supply.

Testing

Our browser tools are tested in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on desktop and mobile. We haven’t hands-on tested monitors, laptops, phones, TVs or GPUs, so our guides don’t claim to have; they’re based on manufacturer documentation and established fixes. Details are on How we test.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with outlines, editing and checking for gaps. A person reviews every page before it goes live, checks the facts, and is responsible for what it says. AI doesn’t invent experiences, quotes or test results for us, and we don’t publish pages written by AI without that review.

Updates

Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We change that date only when the content changes, not to look fresh.

Corrections

Found an error? Email gigascreens.contact@gmail.com or use the contact page with the link and what’s wrong. We fix factual mistakes as soon as we can confirm them. A significant correction gets a short note on the page saying what changed and when.

Money and independence

We earn from ads and affiliate links. Neither decides what we write. Brands can’t pay for coverage or review a page before it’s published. See the affiliate disclosure.
