Do you want to know how to get Malfeasance in Destiny 2 in 2023? The Malfeasance is a Hand Cannon capable of dealing lots of damage. This is one of the exotic weapons of the game. It also has the unique ability to fire tainted Slugs, helpful when fighting Taken enemies. This guide will tell you how to get Malfeasance in Destiny 2 in 2023.
How To Get Malfeasance in Destiny 2?
To get Malfeasance in Destiny 2, you must complete the exotic quest that starts by killing the Primeval in Gambit and ends with a team wipe as an invader.
The steps to complete the quest include the following:
- Kill a Primeval in Gambit
- Speak to the Drifter in the Tower
- Destroy 25 Taken yellow bar enemies
- Complete The Corrupted Strike
- Deposit Motes
- Defeat 25 opposing players in Gambit and do a team wipe
Killing a Primeval in Gambit
Starting the Malfeasance quest has been much easier since Year 5 when the Witch Queen arrived. Now you only need to kill one Primeval to start the quest, which means you have only to win the match.
Speaking to the Drifter in the Tower
After winning the match, you must visit the Drifter in the Tower. For every exotic quest, there’s a vendor for that quest. That vendor will give you instructions telling you what to do next. The Drifter will say to you to defeat 25 Taken bosses.
Defeating 25 Taken Yellow Bar Enemies
Taken Bosses are mini-bosses that are harder to defeat than regular ones. They have yellow bars on top. You will find plenty of these in Dreaming City, or you can find some in Certain Strikes.
Completing the Corrupted Strike
You must complete the Special version of Corrupted Strike, and six players can play this at a time. Although initially, you can only start with three, you can add up to six mid-game to help you finish it.
Depositing Motes
Once that is finished, you must win Gambit matches and deposit Motes. Play cautiously because the lost Mote will deposit from your total, and the lost Motes will have double the effect on those gained.
Defeating 25 Guardians in Gambit
You have to kill twenty-five opposing players during an invasion. You also have to do a team wipe, which means you have to kill four players of the opposing in a single raid. If you can’t do that, you can make an ally do three team wipes across many matches.

Malfeasance Perks in Destiny 2
The perks of Malfeasance include Corkscrew Rifling and the Extended Mag.
This weapon needs a balanced barrel like the Corkscrew Rifling. It slightly increases range and stability. It also improves handling speed.
The Extended Mag holds more ammo, but it reloads much more slowly. So you will have to be careful when you’re reloading.
The Trait that this weapon has is called the “Taken Predator.” This perk gives bonus damage when dealing with taken enemies and Gambit invaders with the gun.
You will need the Heavy Grip on this gun because of the recoil. The Heavy Grip increases the stability and handling speed when firing.
You can find Destiny 2 on PC, PS4/PS5, and Xbox.
