Starfield: How To Transfer a Container to an Outpost

Do you want to know how to transfer a container to an outpost in Starfield? When you build your outpost in the game, you will need a lot of resources, as most players who have played since the release would know. Once you’re accustomed to the ship storage, you might also want to consider storage in your outpost. This guide will tell you how to transfer a container to an outpost in Starfield.

Getting a Transfer Container to an Outpost in Starfield

To get a Transfer Container for your outpost, first, you must build one. After that, you will need an extractor and energy source to power the container. Then, sit back and let the Transfer container do its job.

The materials you will need to build it are:

  1. Lubricant- 4
  2. Iron- 8
  3. Tungsten- 5

You can go to the Extractors and Power section in the build mode to get an energy source for the transfer outpost storage. They will have everything you will need. As for the requirements, it depends on the size of the container. It’s important to note that keep the Transfer outpost storage where the resources it extracts are found in large amounts.

This part seems very simple for most players on Reddit, but most can’t figure out how to transfer items to the ship. Go to the cockpit and open the small screen on the left side. You can transfer items between the cargo hold, ship storage, and outpost storage. If the transfer outpost storage isn’t visible, your ship is too far away from the outpost.

You can also transfer resources from one outpost to the next using Cargo links.

How To Create a Cargo Link Using Transfer Container in Starfield?

To create the Cargo link, open the build menu. Under miscellaneous, you will find the option to create a Cargo link. It’s a landing pad with a green and red container attached to it. Other than that, there’s a console to control the flow of the resources.

The materials you will need are:

  1. Iron- 20
  2. Aluminium-12
  3. Beryllium- 2
  4. Zero wire- 2

The only requirement for having a Cargo Link is two or more outposts. You don’t have even to finish building it. Just the beacon and the materials to build it are enough. A cargo ship will land on the landing pad to pick up and transport it to the other outpost.
