This policy explains what data gigascreens.com (“GigaScreens”, “we”) collects when you visit, why, and what choices you have. Questions go to gigascreens.contact@gmail.com.
The short version
Our screen tests run in your browser. They don’t upload images of your screen or anything you see. We use Google Analytics to count visits and Google AdSense to show ads, and both use cookies. You can say no to non-essential cookies in the cookie banner.
Who is responsible
GigaScreens is operated by GigaScreens, Sri Lanka. Contact: gigascreens.contact@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you use the screen tools
The dead pixel test and other tools run entirely in your browser. They read your screen size and pixel ratio to show you results, and that information stays on your device. We may record anonymous events through Google Analytics, such as “test started” or a button click, to learn which tools people use. These events don’t include anything about your screen’s contents.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (through Google Site Kit) to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us. Google Analytics collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from your IP address), device and browser type, and referring site. Google’s description of how it uses this data: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ad Settings, or visit aboutads.info to opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), ads are only personalized if you consent.
Affiliate links
Some pages link to retailers such as Amazon. If you click, the retailer may set a cookie to credit us with a commission. That happens on the retailer’s site under its privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure.
When you email us
If you write to us, we get your email address and whatever you send. We use it to reply and keep it only as long as the conversation needs, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Security and hosting
Our hosting, Cloudflare and our security plugin (Wordfence) process IP addresses and request details to keep the site running and block attacks. Server and security logs are kept for a limited time.
Comments
If comments are open on a page and you leave one, we store your name, email, comment and IP address. Comments are checked for spam by Akismet (Automattic), which receives that data for that purpose.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use:
- Essential cookies: to remember your cookie choice and keep the site secure.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics (names start with _ga).
- Advertising cookies: Google AdSense and its partners.
The cookie banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies, and you can change your mind at any time by reopening the cookie settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without essential cookies.
Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
We rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for logs and spam filtering, and on your request when we answer an email.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent. California residents can ask what personal information is collected and request deletion, . We don’t sell personal information for money, but sharing data with ad partners for personalized ads may count as “sharing” under California law. You can opt out by refusing advertising cookies or turning off personalized ads as described above. To make any request, email gigascreens.contact@gmail.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Data transfers
Google, Cloudflare and other providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. They use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
This site isn’t aimed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA) and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Big changes will be noted on this page.
