Sharing a Twitter message on 26th July, Activision confirmed that the new season will begin on 2nd August 2023. So, both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone will enter Season 5 on the above date at 9.00 am PT, 12.00 pm ET, 5.00 pm BST. And according to the previous stats, we can predict the end date will fall around September 2023.

Call of Duty Season 5 is filled with plenty of fresh items, such as maps, weapons, operator skins, and more. Below are some of the new entries you can find.
- You can have your own pet when completing an operation. Merlin, the dog, and other tactical pets are unharmable and will stick to you until the job is done.
- Modern Warfare 2 will have a virtual assistant called ‘Gwen.’ This battle buddy can Killstreak activations, kills including specific weapons, and help you with in-game events.
- Season 5 Battle Pass comes with more than 100 rewards, and for the first time, there will be five Operators across Battle Pass and BlackCell.
- In Battle Pass, you can find new Operators- Oz, Phillip Graves, Velikan, and Mila. Also, new skins like The Bishop skin for Alex, Bad Bishop skin for Roze, and The Rook skin for Ghost.
- Activision added below new weapons in Call of Duty Season 5.
