The Gastrodon is a Sea Slug Pokemon and a water and ground type. It’s not very tall and only about two feet tall, weighing about sixty-seven pounds. This Sea Slug Pokemon has three abilities, but one is hidden. The primary two abilities are the Sticky Hold and the Storm Drain. The hidden ability is called the Sand Force.
This hidden ability raises the power of Ground, Rock, and Steel-type moves by almost thirty percent during a Sandstorm. It also grants immunity to Sandstorm damage. Usually, all the Pokemon with this ability are naturally immune to Sandstorms, but only Shellos aren’t.
When you evolve the Shellos, you get the Gastrodon. Shellos is a water-type Pokemon. This Pokemon is much lighter, weighing fourteen pounds, and is only one foot tall. It does have a medium fast growth rate which is pretty good.
The Shellos and the Gastrodon are similar when you check the stats.
