How to Obtain and Redeem Timed Research Codes in the Pokémon Go World Championship
If you watch 30 minutes of the Pokémon GO Twitch live stream during the Pokémon GO World Championships, you can receive two special Timed Research codes. These codes are valid until August 20th, 2023, at 12:00 AM UTC. Each account can only claim one of each Timed Research code.
- To participate in the Pokemon GO World Championships Day 1 and Day 2 giveaway, follow the Pokemon GO Twitch channel and watch the live stream.
- Scroll under the stream to locate the giveaway panel, and click on Share Twitch ID to start tracking your watch time. Please note that pausing or minimizing the stream will also pause the timer.
- Once you have watched the stream for at least 30 minutes, a button will appear, allowing you to claim your code.
- Copy the code and redeem it on the Niantic Redeem Offer Codes page.
Here are the dates and times for each live stream:
- Day 1: Friday, August 11th, 2023, beginning at 12:00 AM UTC and ending after the day’s rebroadcast.
- Day 2: Saturday, August 12th, 2023, starting at 12:00 AM UTC and ending after the day’s rebroadcast.

Timed Research Code Rewards
Day 1
As a trainer, you will have the option to select one of the following reward encounters.
- Team Option 1: Skarmory, Vigoroth, Swampert
- Team Option 2: Trevenant, Noctowl, Lanturn
- Team Option 3: Azumarill, Umbreon, Mandibuzz
If you are lucky, you can also obtain shiny Skarmory and Swampert.
In addition to these benefits, trainers will also qualify for:
- 8,000 Stardust
- 1× Premium Battle Pass
- 1× Star Piece
Day 2
By redeeming the code from the Day 2 live stream, you will obtain exclusive Timed Research that honors DancingRob, the 2022 Pokémon GO Master’s Division World Champion, and one of the Pokémon that contributed to his victory. The rewards for completing this research include an Elite Charged TM and a chance to encounter Galarian Stunfisk!
If you are fortunate, you might come across a Shiny Galarian Stunfisk!
