You need Gold Pokémon Go Fest 2023 tickets to get into this timed research, and you have to get them by 5th July 2023 and play between 21st June 2023 and 5th July 2023.
If you miss the chance to attend this one, Pokémon Go will give you another chance with a second Timed Research. You need to purchase the tickets by 1st August 2023, and you can play from 15th July to 1st August. The second timed research will be available for those who played the first one.

‘In the Rough’ Timed Research will introduce Carbink as a reward. Carbink is a sixth-generation Rock and Fairy type Pokémon originating in Kalos Region. It is weak to Grass, Ground, Steel, and Water-type moves and energized with Partly Coludny and Cloudy weather. Tackle and Rock Throw are Carbink’s best fast moves. And it has three Charge Moves; Moonblast, Rock Slide, and Power Gym. Carbink is a non-evolving, non-legendary Pokémon. And you can put it into a gym, trade it, and transfer it.
This will be the only chance to catch this jewel-like Pokémon before the Pokémon Go Fest 2023.
