Is Verdansk Returning To Modern Warfare?
With the new trailer’s release, Call of Duty fans began searching for hidden clues. And guess what… they have found some significant hints on Verdansk. This map was replaced by Caldera in 2001, but the Verdansk map has been an all-time favorite. In 2022, a rumor spread that the Verdansk map would return to Warzone 2, but that never happened. Instead, it appeared in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
But now that the Call of Duty provided solid proof of Verdansk maps’ return in Modern Warfare 3, we can assume they will add it to the game this time. (Hopefully…) Still, we are unaware whether the entire map or just a few parts will be available. But either way, this is not good news for Warzone players, who are unhappy about this.
Activision has not released any official statement related to the Verdansk return. Still, Operators around the world are super excited to welcome it back. The official trailer revealed Markov’s character. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is all set to release in November 2023.

What Is Verdansk?
Verdansk is the capital of Kastovia (A fictional country in Call of Duty). Verdansk was the main battlefield in Warzone and for the Special Ops operations and Ground War maps of Modern Warfare. It is also mentioned in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and many other seasons in the Call of Duty universe. 2021 marked the end of this map by introducing the Caldera map in Call of Duty: Vanguard Season One.
The Ukrainian city of Donetsk, which was severely damaged during the war in the Donbas region, turned out to be the model for the creation of Verdansk. And this city has mountains all around, two rivers- the Gora River in the west and the Karst River in the east- running through the town and end up in the Kastovian Sea.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 are available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
