Do you want to know how to get the Collective Obligation in Destiny 2? The Collective Obligation is Pulse Rifle and was added along with the Witch Quen update. It’s an exotic item and quite a powerful rifle, making it the second-best Pulse Rifle in the entire game. This guide will tell you how to get the Collective Obligation in Destiny 2.
How To Acquire the Collective Obligation in Destiny 2?
Players must complete the Vow of the Disciple raid to get the weapon.
When you defeat the final boss and complete the raid, the Collective Obligation will drop from the final boss.
Important to note that this is a random drop. You may not receive it the first time you complete the raid itself. It depends entirely on RNG. You have to get lucky with it. Some players have earned it on the first completion itself. But some players have been quite unlucky, considering they have completed the raid over 50 times and never got the weapon.
But you can try three times a week since the raid is available once a week for all three characters. So you can try three times a week.
Unfortunately, you cannot increase your chances of getting the weapon, and the drop rate doesn’t change whether you complete the raid in normal or master mode, and it also doesn’t have back luck protection.

What Is Unique About Collective Obligation in Destiny 2?
The collective Obligation has a unique perk attached to the weapon.
One perk is called the “Void Leech.” What this perk does is that if this weapon damages a target with any void debuffs on it, which are suppressed, weakened, and volatile, then the Collective Obligation will absorb all the debuffs and begin to charge up.
Once the weapon is fully charged, players can switch the firing mode to the alternate mode. This mode activates a 15-second buff and applies any debuff that was absorbed by the Collective Obligation to the target that it damaged.
In this case, the Collective Obligation works well with many 3.0 builds for all the classes.
Unlike the rest of the raid exotics, this weapon doesn’t have a catalyst. The only exceptions are Vex Mythoclast and Touch of Malice. But it is predicted that this weapon will have a catalyst someday since the game developers are adding more and more catalysts to the game.
You can find Destiny 2 on PC, PS4/PS5, and Xbox.
