If you’re encountering problems while playing Starfield, there are a few solutions you can try to enhance your experience.
- Enable AMD FSR, which functions similarly to NVIDIA’s DLSS: This technology operates at a lower internal resolution and then upscaled to the target resolution. However, since the game doesn’t officially support DLSS, FSR is often a less effective solution. While you may gain some additional frames, don’t anticipate your FPS to double.
- Reduce some of the graphics settings. Shadows, in particular, require a lot of resources, and decreasing the setting by one notch can make a significant difference. You could also reduce the resolution when playing Starfield, which greatly improves your performance but could significantly impact visual quality. Remember that if you’re playing at 4K, your computer must render an image four times the size of 1080p.
