Valorant Pro Player Daveeys Is No More…

Releasing a  Twitter message on 4th September 2023, KRU Esports broke the sad news to the Valorant community. According to the post, Daveeys died due to a decompensation of his heart on Sunday, 3rd September 2023. Decompensation heart failure happens when the heart is unable to provide oxygenated blood to meet the body’s metabolic needs. This condition requires immediate medical attention.

Santiago Daveeys Ruiz, commonly known as Daveeys, celebrated his 23rd birthday on 2nd September, one day before his sudden demise. And the entire community was shocked to hear the news.

Expressing deepest condolences, KRU Esports said, ‘ There is no way to smooth this over; it took us all by surprise… All of us at KRÜ accompany their family and friends in this difficult moment, and we ask the entire community to support them with their strength and love.’

And the entire e-sport community lined up to show express their sympathy. Giants, Navi Valorant, TALON, Team Liquid Valorant, Team Heretics, and Cloud9 Valorant are some of the many who expressed their condolences.

Daveeys’s Carrier

Daveeys is a Colombian Esport gamer who worked with KRU Sports at the time of his death. And before that, he worked for Infinity and became famous for his work on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Play. He retired in 2020 and joined KRU Esports to pursue his career through Valorant.

He began his career in 2020 with LazerKlan. He soon got a reputation as one of the best Duelist players in the region. And he was awarded as the shining star of the E-Xolos LAZER roster in 2022. Since then, he has participated in many tournaments and has won many awards.

Daveeys is known to be a hardworking, friendly guy with the utmost courage. He was able to compete in the Valorant Championship 2023, and that was his last international appearance. Even though the team KRU wasn’t able to win the title, Daveeys helped the entire team to beat skillful teams like Cloud9 and FURIA.
